Upper Milford Division (Mink Estates & Far View Farms)

LCA Service Area: The Mink Estates and Far View Farms developments and surrounding areas in Upper Milford Township, Lehigh County.

Number of Customers: 72 properties served.

Water Supply: Two deep wells produce an average of 9,900 gallons per day of groundwater.

Water Treatment: Water from LCA’s wells is disinfected with chlorine to kill bacteria. Sodium hydroxide is also added to adjust the pH of the water slightly. This treatment helps to prevent lead and copper leaching from customers’ home plumbing systems.

Fluoride in your water? No fluoride is added to your drinking water in this area.

Water Hardness: 7 grains per gallon 

Hardness Scale:

6 – 10 grains per gallon = Moderately Hard Water
